New Year's Resolution Failure 😓

I set about 2019 having two goals.

1) I wanted to cut down on sugar. This started off being a 'sugar ban' between my two friends, but that was a failure before it even began.

2) I wanted to cut down on social media. Scrolling and scrolling and scrolling.

Have I succeeded? Debatable. Have I managed both at the same time? Absolutely not.

School has been draining. It's been good, but very, very draining. I've had lots of catching up, exams and mocks to plough through and not a lot of guidance to say that to say I've only been there a week. Both exams the invigilators didn't know I'd be in. Charming.
Other than when I'm making my lunch, which I try to make as healthy as possible, food isn't really on my mind and I don't put much thought into what I eat during the day. I eat for energy and if somebody offers me sweets, my automatic response is yes- especially when I'm trying to make friends haha. In my defence: I have deleted Facebook and Messenger from my phone and only use data for school work. I've found an add on for my laptop which takes away my Facebook newsfeed, which has helped the mindless scrolling so much.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that life isn't always perfect. You don't always (and usually don't!) ace your resolutions in January and you have a whole other eleven months to turn that around.

Until next time,
Marti xx
